Sika Everbuild Multi Stick 350ml Polymer Adhesive is a professional,
hybrid polymer grab adhesive designed for highโstrength bonding of virtually all common
building materials. With excellent initial grab and permanent flexibility, it is ideal for
interior and exterior applications including skirtings, battens, panels, trims, brick slips,
tile backer boards, metal profiles and uPVC. Formulated to bond even to slightly damp surfaces,
Multi Stick is a goโto construction adhesive for builders, joiners, roofers and maintenance teams.
Sika Everbuild Multi Stick is a oneโpart, moistureโcuring hybrid polymer construction adhesive
supplied in a handy 350ย ml cartridge. It combines the high bond strength and versatility of a grab
adhesive with the flexibility and durability associated with advanced polymer sealants.
Unlike traditional solventโbased grab adhesives, Multi Stick is solventโfree and low odour, making it more
pleasant and safer to use in occupied homes, offices and commercial premises. It bonds strongly to a very
wide range of substrates, including porous and nonโporous materials, often without the need for a primer.
Typical compatible surfaces include:
- Brick, block, stone and concrete,
- Plaster, plasterboard and cement boards,
- Softwood, hardwood and timberโbased boards,
- Metals such as aluminium, galvanised steel and stainless steel,
- uPVC and many rigid plastics (except PE, PP, PTFE โ test first),
- Glass, ceramics and tiles.
Once cured, Sika Everbuild Multi Stick forms a strong, flexible and weatherโresistant bond line suitable for both
internal and external use, making it ideal for bonding items that are subject to thermal movement and vibration.
Typical Use Cases
- Skirtings, architraves and timber trims โ bonding directly to plaster, plasterboard, masonry and timber grounds
without visible fixings. - Battens, grounds and timber frame components โ supplementing mechanical fixings on C16/C24 timber
for a more rigid assembly (nonโstructural; follow engineering guidance). - Wall panels, cladding and tile backer boards โ fixing panels, plastic cladding, insulation boards and cement boards
to walls and ceilings (where permitted by system manufacturers). - Metal and uPVC profiles โ bonding trims, angles, cappings, thresholds and cover strips
to masonry, concrete, timber and plastic substrates. - General construction & maintenance โ multiโmaterial bonding of brackets, signs, cable trays, ducting,
trunking and fitโout components.
Installation & Application Tips
- Substrate preparation:
- Surfaces must be clean, sound and free from dust, loose material, grease, oil and release agents.
- Remove old adhesive residues and flaking paint; lightly abrade smooth surfaces for better key.
- Multi Stick will bond to slightly damp, nonโflooded substrates, but surfaces should not be waterโlogged or icy.
- Priming:
- In many cases, Multi Stick adheres without primer.
- On very porous, friable or critical substrates (e.g. dusty blockwork, poor plaster), use a suitable stabilising primer
and follow Sika Everbuild guidance.
- Application as an adhesive:
- Cut the cartridge tip and screw on the nozzle; trim the nozzle to the desired bead size.
- Load into a quality sealant/adhesive gun.
- Apply continuous beads or blobs to one surface โ typically in wavy or straight beads at 10โ20ย cm centres,
depending on the item size and weight. - Bring surfaces together within the open time and press firmly, sliding slightly if needed to spread the adhesive.
- Where necessary, use temporary mechanical support or fixings until the adhesive has developed sufficient bond strength,
especially for heavy or overhead items.
- As a gapโbridging adhesive:
- Multi Stick can accommodate minor irregularities and small gaps, but is not intended as a thickโbed filler.
- Ensure good contact between bonded surfaces; correct major unevenness mechanically where possible.
- Curing:
- Multi Stick cures by reaction with moisture from the air and substrates.
- Cure rate is typically around 2โ3ย mm per 24 hours at 23ย ยฐC and 50% RH (thicker beads will take longer).
- Avoid heavy loading or stressing of the bond line until full cure is achieved.
- Cleanโup:
- Remove excess uncured adhesive immediately with a suitable Sika Everbuild cleaner or white spirit.
- Once cured, Multi Stick can only be removed mechanically (cutting/scraping).

Frequently Asked Questions โ Sika Everbuild Multi Stick 350ml Polymer Adhesive
1. What is the difference between Multi Stick and a traditional solventโbased grab adhesive?
Traditional grab adhesives are often solventโbased, with stronger odours, higher VOCs and potential
issues on sensitive plastics and finishes. Sika Everbuild Multi Stick is a solventโfree hybrid polymer
that offers:
- Low odour and better suitability for indoor use,
- Permanent flexibility rather than becoming brittle,
- Improved adhesion across a wide range of substrates, and
- Often the ability to bond to slightly damp surfaces.
2. Can Multi Stick be used as a structural adhesive?
Multi Stick is a highโstrength construction adhesive but is generally intended for
nonโstructural bonding. For structural applications:
- Follow the guidance of a structural engineer or system designer.
- Use appropriate mechanical fixings where required by Building Regulations and standards.
- Treat the adhesive as a supplementary bonding aid unless specific testing and approvals
state otherwise.
3. Will Multi Stick bond to wet surfaces?
Sika Everbuild Multi Stick will bond to slightly damp surfaces, which is useful on site.
However:
- Surfaces should not be waterโlogged, dripping or covered in standing water.
- Excess moisture can slow curing and reduce adhesion.
For best results, apply to substrates that are clean and only lightly damp, not saturated.
4. Can I paint over Multi Stick once it has cured?
Many hybrid polymer adhesives, including Multi Stick, can be overโpainted with waterโbased
(acrylic) paints once fully cured. For best results:
- Allow adequate curing time in line with the data sheet.
- Carry out a small test patch first to check for any issues such as slower drying,
colour change or altered sheen over the adhesive. - Be cautious with solventโbased or alkyd paints, which may not be fully compatible.
5. Is Multi Stick suitable for bonding mirrors or natural stone?
For mirrors and natural stone (especially marble and limestone which can stain), it is
always best to:
- Check the Sika Everbuild technical datasheet for explicit suitability, and
- Use a dedicated mirror or stone adhesive where recommended by the manufacturer.
Some hybrid adhesives are suitable; others may affect mirror backing or cause stone staining,
so confirmation is essential before largeโscale use.
